2019年第21届国际成瘾医学会(ISAM)年会将于2019年11月13-16日在印度新德里举行。国际成瘾医学学会(ISAM)是于1998年成立的一个国际性的非营利医师团体，其宗旨是致力于：提高认识，成瘾是一种可以预防和治疗的疾病；承认世界各地的医生在成瘾管理中所发挥的重要作用；成瘾医学是一门重要的医学专业；提高医生角色的可信度；强调教育活动的重要性；建立共识文件和实践指南。

Dear Friends,

It gives us immense pleasure to invite you all to the21stAnnual Conference of International Society of Addiction Medicineto be held in New Delhi, India from13thto 16thNovember 2019. We look forward to this opportunity to meet colleagues for shared learning, and a rich social and cultural experience. The conference is being organised by the Department of Psychiatry & National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India.

The role of addiction medicine is extremely important in the current world context. The growing prevalence of addiction in certain quarters coupled with the emergence of behavioural addictions makes the issues related to addiction necessary to be focussed upon. The magnitude of the harm due to addiction on the individual and the society is immense. Thus, deliberations are required to further discuss upon the course of research on addictions and improvement of service provision at the international level. Also, experience gained from one part of the world might be helpful in making lives better in another part. This conference, thus, hopes to bring together diverse professionals working in the field of addiction medicine from across the globe, to facilitate the process of coalescing of ideas and enrichment of expertise.

We assure you a memorable four-day conference at New Delhi which will include several symposia, invited lectures, workshops, free papers, and posters built into the schedule. We also hope the conference would provide an opportunity for you to network with experts and professionals from various countries and various fields.
